This upgrade does not need you to restart ESXi. The example below is using my VIB file name. Remember to change the name of the VIB file to your actual file name. Once you've successfully logged on execute the following. Now open Putty and log onto your ESXi instance again. In my case the VIB file was called esxui-signed Once the file has been successfully uploaded you can close WinSCP.
